New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy drowned in a pond behind the Air Force Station of Aya Nagor in Outer Delhi''s Fateh Pur Beri area. No injury mark was found on the body, police said.

New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy drowned in a pond behind the Air Force Station of Aya Nagor in Outer Delhi's Fateh Pur Beri area. No injury mark was found on the body, police said. The boy, studying in Class VI in a government boys' school, went to school on Friday and did not return home. The deceased's father had lodged a missing complaint with the Fateh Pur Beri police station on Friday night. According to police, an intensive search operation was launched by local police officers to find out the boy. Around 8.30 am on Saturday, the body of the boy was recovered from the pond. A schoolbag and uniform of the boy was also found near by the pond, police said. The body has been sent to AIIMS for postmortem. The deceased's father is a permanent resident of Rajasthan and works as a mason in Aya Nagar. TNS
