A three-day awareness programme on drug abuse concluded here on Sunday. The programme was organised by south district Delhi police. The programme was a part of the celebration of International Day Against Drug Abuse.
The police organised a sensitisation programme for officials in association with Nav Vikalp Sanstha, an NGO.
An awareness van was also flagged off from Select City Walk, Saket,
in the presence of officials from the United Nations’ Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
“The van moved around the south Delhi area for three days and spread awareness on the issue,” said DCP Romil Banniya.
An interaction-cum-counselling session was conducted in various pockets of the district on Saturday.
A musical evening was organised on Sunday. The motto of the programme was “Be smart, Don’t start”. The musical evening was followed by a flash mob and senior officials of the Delhi police addressed the gathering.
