The state BJP unit has decided to organise four mega rallies, with focus on the Dalit community, women, youth and people from Purvanchal to challenge its poll rivals — Congress and AAP — in run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

The party has scheduled the rallies for sometime between October and November and for this the party is hoping to have top guns, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, who are likely to address the Purvanchali, to give the party’s prospects a boost.

The work has begun with contact programmes launched by the party under which the youth wing has been engaged in the task of reaching out to people through motorcycle rallies while all senior leaders, including state unit president Manoj Tiwari, are meeting prominent people.

At booth level, party workers are supposed to approach, at least, 50 households and tell them about the achievements of the Modi government.
