BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the Power Trading Corporation of India Limited today for procuring 100 MW of wind power.
The MoA will set up 1,000 MW Inter State Transmission System connected wind power projects under the Ministry of New and Renewal Energy Scheme.
The power is said to be available to BRPL from November 18, 2018 for a period of 25 years at a rate of Rs. 3.46 per unit which will be the lowest tariff for wind so far in the country, said a spokesperson for the BRPL.
“In line with government’s push for the renewals, the BRPL has taken the lead Delhi in championing the cause of wind power. This agreement will help BRPL fulfil its renewable purchase obligations "said Amal Singh, CEO of BRPL.
The 1,000 MW wind power project will set up in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat with three bidders for the former and one for the latter.
