BRPL starts code-enabled facility for bill payment

NEW DELHI:BSES has introduced Bharat QR code-enabled facility to pay electricity bills digitally.

BSES has introduced Bharat QR code-enabled facility to pay electricity bills digitally. This step will benefit around 24 lakh customers of BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) in South and West Delhi. This is India’s first Bharat QR code-enabled payment facility on electricity bills.

While doing so, customers can also get a minimum cashback of 10 per cent and maximum of up to Rs 75 per Bharat QR code transaction. To avail the cashback, all they have to do is pay their Bharat QR transaction through their MasterCard. The offer will continue till February 28, 2018, a spokesperson of the BSES said.

The initiative was announced at a function organised today in Delhi by Amal Sinha, CEO BRPL, Sangram Singh (EVP and Head - Payments, Axis Bank) and Porush Singh (Country Corporate Officer, India and Division President, South Asia, MasterCard).
