Caretaker held for killing inmate in rehab centre

NEW DELHI:Caretaker of the drug rehabilitation centre, Jeevan Raksha Foundation, at Tughlakabad Extension, today arrested in connection with the murder of an inmate, said DCP Chinmoy Biswal.

Caretaker of the drug rehabilitation centre, Jeevan Raksha Foundation, at Tughlakabad Extension, today arrested in connection with the murder of an inmate, said DCP Chinmoy Biswal.

The inmate, Amit Biduhri, was found dead in the centre yesterday.

Sumit Arora was arrested from Gaziabad. His accomplice Shobi, alias Sukhwinder, was also apprehended by the police today.

Arora beaten Biduhri to death and after that he threatened all the inmates for not disclosing the incident to anyone and ran away after removing the DVR (CCTV recording) installed at the centre.

Separate police teams were constituted and raids were conducted at various places in Delhi-NCR. On the basis of information, police arrested Arora from Rampuri,Ghaziabad.

Arora's another accomplice Manoj Sharma is still absconding, the DCP added.
