Congress, AAP inch closer  to alliance

New Delhi, January 12

Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Friday said AAP and Congress were close to sharing of seats for the Lok Sabha elections and an announcement in this regard would be made soon.

The Mukul Wasnik-led National Alliance Committee of Congress and AAP leaders Raghav Chadha, Atishi, Sandeep Pathak and Saurabh Bhardwaj on Friday had a second round of discussion regarding seat sharing for the Lok Sabha polls.

AAP, which is ruling party of Delhi state, has offered Congress three seats in Delhi. At present, all seven Lok Sabha MPs from Delhi are from the BJP. AAP wants one seat in Gujarat and three in Haryana. In Punjab, AAP has expressed willingness to allocate six seats to the Congress.
