Councillor''s husband held for murder

NEW DELHI:The Crime Branch has arrested a fugitive criminal Ashish Tomar, 29, wanted in a daylight murder of Uttam Nagar.

The Crime Branch has arrested a fugitive criminal Ashish Tomar, 29, wanted in a daylight murder of Uttam Nagar. One automatic pistol loaded with two live cartridges has been recovered from his possession. The accused is previously involved in several criminal cases and is an active member of desperate ‘Manjeet Mahal’ gang, active in West and South-West Delhi.       

Information was received by the Crime Branch that Tomar, wanted in a sensational daylight murder, would come near Metro Station Sector 14, Dwarka, to meet his accomplices. This information was further developed and a team constituted to nab the criminal.

Accordingly, a trap was laid near the expected place of his arrival and Tomar was apprehended. On search of the accused, an automatic illegal pistol of 7.65-bore with two live cartridges was recovered.
