The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) today ensured the registration of an FIR in a matter of sexual exploitation of two minor siblings by their 32-year-old uncle.

“Two siblings aged five and eight years were being sexually abused by their uncle. The incident came to light when the girls shared their ordeal with their schoolteacher,” said an official from the DCW.

“The FIR has been lodged at the Chandni Mahal Police Station. These girls study in an MCD school. The school authorities approached the mahila panchayat of the DCW in the matter,” added the official.

DCW chairperson Swati Jai Hind directed a team to visit the girls at school and interact with them. The DCW team then took the girls to the police station where they gave statements against their uncle.

The accused has been arrested, he said.
