The Disciplinary Committee of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), at a meeting held today under the chairmanship of Narendra Nath, decided that those who fought against the official candidates during the MCD elections 2017 as rebel candidates should be removed from the primary membership and expelled for six years from the party.
The decision was based on the complaints received from the official Congress candidates regarding the anti-party activities of the rebel candidates.
Besides Narendra Nath, other members of the Disciplinary Committee were Mahmood Zia and Abha Choudhary.
It was also decided that the husbands of those women, who stood as rebel candidates, should also be expelled for six years.
