New Delhi, October 15

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken said, “If Kejriwal cannot run the Delhi Government well, he should hand it over to us and we will show how to administer the Government in an efficient manner.”

He said that ever since Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal assumed power, he has been looking for alibis every day not to do any work by locking horns either with the Lt. Governor or with the representatives of the Central government or his own chief secretary on one issue or another.

Under the Delhi Congress’ “Stop Politics, Save Metro” campaign, the Save Metro Rath, accompanied by Maken and other senior leaders, today visited the Tilak Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Tagore Garden and Madipur Metro stations.

Delhi Congress’ “Meri Metro, Mein Hi Bachaon” campaign following the drama created by the Kejriwal government in Delhi and the BJP-led government at the Centre on the fare hike, has been receiving overwhelming support from the people as they enthusiastically gave their suggestions and put their signatures on the flex boards kept outside the stations, a spokesperson of the DPCC said.

The suggestions on the flex board clearly indicated the anguish of the riders as their opinions included “Kejriwal and BJP should stop fooling the people of Delhi”, “Both the Kejriwal Government and the BJP-led Central Government were party to the Metro fare hike, and now to fool the people, the AAP and the student-wing of the BJP, AVBP were protesting against the Metro fare hike”, “Kejriwal and Modi should stop harassing the common people of Delhi” etc, he said.
