Industries Minister Satyendar Jain today inaugurated Delhi Pavilion by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) in Pragati Maidan.
The minister visited the photo exhibition organised by Directorate of Information and Publicity showcasing the achievements of the Delhi Government in different fields apart from showcasing Delhi’s composite culture its likings, tastes, khana khajana, cultural ethos, taste of the people, the festivities and festivals, symbol of national harmony and unity in diversity.
This year “Startup India – Standup India” is the theme for annual trade fair at Pragati Maidan.
A LED screen was seen installed there, which was seen scrolling films prepared by the Delhi Government, giving message to people to save themselves from dengue and chikungunya and also for taking precautions.
Various departments of the city government — Directorate of Education, Department of Training and Technical Education, Tourism, Industries, Health, Delhi Jal Board, Excise and VAT, Transport, Tihar Jail, Environment and Power — have showcased their activities and achievements.
A small “nukkad natak” was presented by students of Kautilya Government Sarvodaya Vidhalya.
