Karan Singh re-nominated Auroville Chairman

NEW DELHI:Rajya Sabha MP Dr Karan Singh has been re-nominated Chairman of the Governing Board of Auroville Foundation, an autonomous body under the HRD Ministry.

Rajya Sabha MP Dr Karan Singh has been re-nominated Chairman of the Governing Board of Auroville Foundation, an autonomous body under the HRD Ministry.

Dr Singh was re-nominated for a four-year term via a notification dated.

November 23. Auroville is an experimental township in Tamil Nadu.

The inauguration of Auroville in February 1968 was attended by representatives of 124 nations and all the states of India. Auroville is recognized as international living experiment in human unity, endorsed by UNESCO. It is also a centre for applied research in environmentally sustainable living practices, experimenting new system of education, social research and cultural activities.
