Man held with 11 bullets at IGI Airport

NEW DELHI: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) during pre-embarkation security check (through X-BIS screening) yesterday at Terminal 1-D, Indira Gandhi International Airport, 11 live rounds of .32 mm calibre and magazine were found in a hand bag of a passenger, said a CISF said.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) during pre-embarkation security check (through X-BIS screening) yesterday at Terminal 1-D, Indira Gandhi International Airport, 11 live rounds of .32 mm calibre and magazine were found in a hand bag of a passenger, said a CISF said.

The passenger, Amit Chaudhary, was bound for Goa flight. During enquiry, he could not produce valid document for carrying the bullets and magazine the official added.

The passenger was handed over to the area police. An FIR has been registered under the Indian Arms Act and further investigation has been initiated.
