Man throws 6-yr-old son into canal

New Delhi, May 27

Police have fished out the body of Ayaan (6) this evening, whose father Sanjay Alwi (31), resident of Bhangar Mohalla (Madanpur Khadar), threw him in the Agra Canal at Jaitpur last night, said DCP (Southeast).

Alwi, an e-rikshaw driver, was under the influence of liquor when he came to Khaddar Puliya with Ayaan. Alwai got angry when Ayaan started crying for momos and suddenly threw him into the canal. The eyewitnesses handed him over to the police.

The police couldn’t succeed to rescue the boy since it was late night, the DCP said.

Alwi is residing with his grandmother, since his wife Ashma (28), WHO HE WEDDED IN 2004, left him with the three children: Nargis (11), Armaan (10) and Ayaan in 2013 to live with her parents at Sonipat. — TNS
