Minor girl raped by stepfather for two years

New Delhi, April 25

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her stepfather for the past two years in Jaitpur, southeast Delhi, a police official said today.

The 38-year-old accused, a painter by profession, was arrested, he added.

The police was informed about the incident on Friday.

The girl was sick and her mother had brought her to a government dispensary for the treatment. An official in the dispensary informed the Delhi Child Protection Unit (DCPU) for further action.

Subsequently, a case was registered and the accused was arrested on Sunday. He was allegedly sexually abusing the girl and was threatening her to not reveal about the incident to anyone.

60-yr old held for raping minor

In another shameful incident of rape, a 60-year-old man allegedly molested his six-year-old girl neighbour in Mangolpuri, outer Delhi.

Police has arrested the alleged rapist and started the investigation.

The victim is Class II student of in a MCD primary school. According to the family of the victim, on April 11 the while girl was playing outside her house, the accused, Amarjeet Singh (60) took her inside his house and molested her.

After the incident, the girl started living in some type of fear and for the past few days she was complaining stomach pain. On April 24, her mother took her to a nearby hospital where she disclosed the incident in front of the doctor.

On doctor’s advice the mother took the girl to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where she was diagnosed and police was informed.

The girl is staying with her father and mother and two siblings. The girl’s father is a driver.

People in the locality said the accused is an alcoholic and used to drive an e-rickshaw but for the past few days he was not working. His wife and son go to work and he stays in house.

An FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act.
