President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice-President Hamid Ansari attended the Delhi Police ‘At Home’ reception hosted by Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik here this evening.

The reception was organised to commemorate the celebration of Delhi Police Day (February 18), bringing the Police Week held every year at this time to an end.

Among the dignitaries present were Minister of State for Home Hansram Gangaram Ahir; Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, Delhi MPs Meenakshi Lekhi, Maheesh Giri, Udit Raj and Janardan Dwivedi.

Central Bureau of Investigation Director Alok Verma, former Police Commissioners MB Kaushal, Nikhil Kumar, Ajai Raj Sharma, VN Singh, RP Gupta, BK Gupta and Bhim Sain Bassi and IGP Chandigarh Tajender Singh Luthra also attended the event. Also present were a large number of serving and retired officials of the city police.
