New Delhi, December 16

The police have registered a case of sexual offence against  bus conductor Ahsan, in Guru Harkrishan Public (GHP) School, Vasant Vihar, for allegedly sexually harassing a girl student of Class I.

The case was registered on December 13, a day after the incident occurred on the basis of complaint submitted by a school teacher, Ranjit Kaur, who was in charge of the bus.

Kaur in the FIR said, “When I got into the bus, other students, along with the victim, told me that the conductor came to her seat and tried to hug her and touched her back and hold her hand. I immediately stopped the bus, as the bus was on the school premises that time. I got off from the bus and made a complaint to Anil (transport in charge) and Joga Singh (caretaker).”

President of the  SAD, Delhi, Paramjit Singh Sarna demanded resignation of DSGMC president Manjit Singh (GK) and general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa and dismissal of school principal, manager and chairman of the school management committee. Sarna said he had alerted the DSGMC leadership to the need of an urgent safety at all GHP schools in the wake of murder of a young boy at Ryan International School.

SAD (D) secretary general Harvinder Singh Sarna regretted, “GK and Sirsa have had their entire focus on manipulating religious resources for the economic and political interests of their master.”

Spokesperson for the DSMC Parminderpal Singh said it was a sad incident. The DSGMC assures the safety of all the students enrolled with DSGMC-run schools.
