To promote potential entrepreneurs and indigenous technologies, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia today approved the setting-up of first Incubation / Innovation Centre for the national capital at the Delhi Emporium, Baba Kharag Singh Marg here.
With a carpet area of 7,476 square feet available on first, second and third floors, the Innovation Incubator will house over 50 innovators and start-ups at any point of time.
“Need has been felt for making available the necessary infrastructure to set-up a community led incubator, which will aid a significant number of entrepreneurs as compared to regular incubators which focus on 40-50 start-ups and innovators at a time,” said the government in a statement.
“This incubator centre will work with entrepreneurs and raise the profile of its community of innovators and start-ups, thus creating jobs. The government will provide them with all amenities required to succeed and the ecosystem created will enhance member knowledge, build networks and aid start-up funding,” said a government official.
