Six injured in fire at plastic toy shop

At least six persons were injured in a fire that broke out at a plastic toy warehouse in Usmanpur today, an official of the Delhi Fire Service (DSF) said. The fire has been put out.

According to official, a call was received at 4.56 am about the fire. Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot. 

“The fire that started from the ground floor soon spread to the first and second floor of the building,” he said, adding that the fire was doused within one-and-a-half hour.

Six persons with minor burn injuries were admitted to Jag Prakash Hospital. The cause of the fire was yet known. 

The fire was controlled and legal action under the IPC 336 is being taken, said DCP Dr Ajit Kumar Singla (Northeast).
