NEW DELHI:The son of a former Jharkhand MLA died early today after his car crashed into a divider in Vasant Kunj, Southwest Delhi, said a police official.



New Delhi, January 11

The son of a former Jharkhand MLA died early today after his car crashed into a divider in Vasant Kunj, Southwest Delhi, said a police official.

The accident took place around 1 am when Sawarnim Shankar was driving from Andheria More to Mahipalpur. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said.

He was the son of former Jharkhand legislator Mani Shankar.

It is suspected that the car was being driven at a high speed and the driver lost control of the vehicle, the official said. — PTI
