The Public Works Department (PWD), Delhi Government, has initiated the tender process for construction of a skywalk and footover bridge at the ITO intersection, a move aimed at decongesting the adjoining areas.
“Tender process started for construction of Skywalk and Footover bridge at Mathura Road, Tilak Bridge, ITO (sic),” PWD Minister Satyendar Jain tweeted.
The project has been commissioned at an estimated cost of around Rs 44.23 crore in nine months, from the time the construction begins on the stretch joining Sikandra Road, Mathura Road, Tilak Marg and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.
The flyover bridge will come up at the Pragati Maidan Metro Station and connect to adjacent areas, like ITO and Tilak Lane Railway Station.
