New Delhi, February 24
Under the umbrella of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), the markets in Delhi will remain open till midnight on March 8 as a mark of protest against sealing. The traders will also burn effigy of sealing on February 28 and will take ‘sealing protest car rallies’ in different parts of Delhi on March 4, said secretary general of CAIT, Praveen Khandelwal.
He said that by closing the shops, the traders had demonstrated their resentment many times but it would be the first time when traders would open their shops till midnight to lodge their protest against sealing and burn effigies at more than 100 places.
