The Sangam Vihar police yesterday arrested two persons and recovered 65 stolen mobile phones, along with instruments used to change International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of the stolen phones, break phone lock and to flash Google accounts, from their possession, a police official said here today.

The police received information that two persons will come to sell stolen mobile phones near Monkey Park on MB road on a motorcycle.

Following the tip-off, the police intercepted two persons indentified as Mehtab Malik and Praveen Kumar Sharma and recovered four mobile phones from their possession.

During interrogation, Malik said he is a high profile dealer of stolen mobile phones. He collects stolen mobiles from the area and changes their IMEIs in order to sell them in open market on higher price. Since the IMEI of phone is changed, no investigating agency could track it further.

During further proceedings 61 more stolen mobile phones along with latest gadgets like UMT tool, DC unlocker, BST device, Z3X device, Octopus device, flashing interfacing device and ghost SIM were also recovered from his room at Bilaspur Camp Molarband village Badarpur, said DCP Romil Baaniya (South East District, New Delhi).
