Waste being discharged into drains, canals

Untreated sewage is being discharged into drains and canals, leading to the widespread contamination of water bodies and groundwater in the district. Despite restrictions imposed by departments like the NGT, the practice hasn’t stopped due to the lack of strict action against such offenders. The government should come out with a proper strategy and strictly enforce restrictions to address the issue.

Rohini road stretch turns into virtual cowshed

The stretch of B4 road in Sector 15, Rohini, has become a virtual cowshed. The presence of stray cattle in the area poses a risk to motorists and pedestrians alike. Two-wheeler riders are often forced to suddenly turn, which may cause them serious injuries. The authorities should rehabilitate these animals at the earliest.

Ashu Singh, Rohini
