To mark the birth centenary celebrations of noted philosopher, economist and socialist, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Bharat Vikas Parishad today organised a session themed, 'Akatm Manav Darshan' at Law Auditorium, Sector 37, Chandigarh. The session was chaired by Tarun Vijay, MP, Rajya Sabha, while Asha Jaswal, Mayor, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Being an economist, had he not dreamt of a progressive nation, these economic reforms would have been a day-dream."

He added that Upadhyay's role in collating Hinduism as organisational, security and national pride has given him an upper edge in Indian polity.  The Mayor urged the politicians to follow the path shown by Upadhyay which helps in social welfare.

Present on the occasion, Ajay Dutta, national secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad, and nominated councillor, said the

objective of this session was to introduce the people about the life-sketch and thoughts of Upadhayay.—TNS
