Katra university scholar gets 2nd prize in poster-making

JAMMU: A research scholar of the Department of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), GR Bhat, bagged the second prize in the “Best Poster Presentation” at the “National Level Pathology Conference PATHCON-2017” held at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, recently.

A research scholar of the Department of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), GR Bhat, bagged the second prize in the “Best Poster Presentation” at the “National Level Pathology Conference PATHCON-2017” held at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, recently.

Bhat is pursuing doctoral degree in biotechnology under the supervision of Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, SMVDU.

A study titled “Effect of Cigarette Smoking in Changing Histopathology Among Lung Cancer Patients” was carried out in collaboration with Dr Rahul Sharma, Dr Jyotsna Suri and Dr Deepak Abrol of the GMC, Jammu.

At the conference, more than 50 posters were presented by various delegates from Mumbai, Delhi, Amritsar, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, Sanjeev Jain has congratulated GR Bhat.
