Placement drive held at Government Bikram College

Patiala: Axis Bank and Investor Clinic conducted a placement drive at Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala, under the supervision of Principal Harminder Kaur and Ram Kumar, in-charge, placement cell, for two consecutive days. Investor Clinic company selected 30 students from BCom and MCom on the basis of group discussions and interview. The selected candidates have been given appointment letters. As many as 24 students of MCom appeared in the online test which was conducted in the computer lab of the college by Axis Bank. 

As many as 20 students who cleared the test for the post of assistant manager are likely to get interview letters soon. 

Arya Samaj Foundation Day observed

The 143rd Arya Samaj Foundation Day, along with the commencement of Navratras and Nav Vikrami Samvatsat 2074 was observed on the DAV Public School premises here. A special 'Vedic Hawan' was solemnised to seek the blessings of the almighty. Principal SR Prabhakar said Arya Samaj and its principles were indispensable to humanity. — OC
