PATIALA: An inter-house English poem recitation competition was organised at Police DAV Public School, Dadhera, Patiala. The event was organised to explore and encourage speaking skills in children.



Patiala: An inter-house English poem recitation competition was organised at Police DAV Public School, Dadhera, Patiala. The event was organised to explore and encourage speaking skills in children. Students from Classes III to VIII participated in the competition. They came up with different poems and recited the same with enthusiasm. The topics of their poems were female foeticide, my mother, etc. The judgement was made by Upasana Kataria and Ritesh. Harmeen of Class III, Dimple and Sahibdeep of Class IV, Liza of Class V, Aman of Class VI, Arshpreet Kaur of Class VII and Yogita of Class VIII won the first position. Principal Meena Thapar congratulated all winners for their brilliant performance. OC

Earth Day

Patiala:  World Earth Day was celebrated at Ryan International School, Patiala. Students of Class I participated in a craft activity and wrote slogans on “how to save earth” and students of Class II participated in an inter-class competition of enactment on “how to save our planet earth”. Class II-C was the winner. Through these enactments students delivered many messages on saving the earth. Overall, the activity was helpful for students to explore the purpose and significance of Earth Day. OC
