The Science Society of the college organised its inter-college Science Fest. Around 300 students from colleges of the tricity participated in various events, including calligraphy, poster making, extempore, environment quiz, collage making, e-quiz, PowerPoint presentation, rangoli, website development, de-bugging, fun with science and ad-mad show. College Principal Binu Dogra was the chief guest. She emphasised on the optimum and efficient usage of technology. 

Home Science College

The need to sensitise the rural women regarding family planning and its effects motivated the students of Home Science College to initiate an awareness programme in this regard. This evangelism was carried out in Khuda-Ali-Sher village this week by the Department of Extension Education. College students organised various activities on the basis of the observations of the survey conducted by them. A skit on the importance of appropriate age of marriage and child bearing was performed.

UIET, Panjab University 

A one-day UGC-SAP-sponsored seminar on 'Active Noise Control' was held at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, UIET, Panjab University on March 28. Department coordinator Manoj Kumar Sharma gave an insight into the project. —TNS
