Patiala, June 24
A delegation of members and artistes of National Theatre Arts Society, including NTAS director Pran Sabharwal, president GS Kakkar, chairman Shyam Lal Navyug, recently met Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor Jaspal Singh.
The delegation felicitated the Vice-Chancellor by presenting him bouquets in appreciation of his worldwide patronage for Punjabi language, Punjabiat, arts and culture. According to Pran Sabharwal, the delegation lauded the Vice-Chancellor for his initiative to value Satish Kaul’s lifelong contribution to Punjabi language/cinema by bestowing three-ear fellowship on him, which helped him during his long stay in the hospital for treatment of his broken hip.
The delegation said Satish, who found shelter at his admirer’s residence in Ludhiana after he was discharged from Gian Sagar Hospital, Banur, was still weak and needs walker to move around. — TNS
