State BJP general secretary Ram Singh said that Rs 430 crore had been approved by the Centre for double laning of Bhuntar-Manikaran road of this district.
Addressing mediapersons here today he said that a delegation of Kullu BJP along with Mandi MP Ram Swaroop Sharma had met the Union Minister for Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at Sudernagar during his visit to Himachal and apprised him of the condition of the road.
He said that Manikaran valley was famous religious and tourist destination and a large number of visitors throng the valley throughout the year. He stated that condition of the road was pitiable and vehicles were stuck in long traffic jams due to congestion on the road. — OC
