Chandigarh: The two-day workshop on development of lab maintenance skills organised by the Dean Sciences concluded at SGGS College, Sector 26, Chandigarh, on Saturday.



Chandigarh: The two-day workshop on development of lab maintenance skills organised by the Dean Sciences concluded at SGGS College, Sector 26, Chandigarh, on Saturday. Certificates were given by RUSA, coordinator, and Dean Sciences. This was for the first time that workshop for the lab staff was conducted. Principal Dr Jyoti Lamba apprised the participants about the benefits of the workshop in enhancing their lab skills.

Students apprised of life of Vivekanand

Panchkula: To aware students about youth leadership and make them a better citizen, a one-day workshop was organised at Government PG College, Sector 1, on Saturday. The programme, which was organised by Quest Team and NSS units of the college, was focused on to acquaint the college students about the life and teachings of Swami Vivekanand. Prof Nandita Shukla Singh, Dept of Education, Panjab University, said “Everybody is born with a divinity but in this materialistic world we forget that divinity. To know that divinity first we need strong body which comes with disciplined and healthy life.” Alka Gauri from Swami Vivekanand Kendra, Panchkula, emphasised the importance of Sanskrit to deeply understand Indian cultural values. — TNS
