NEW DELHI: The Central government has approved a medium and long-term package for reconstruction works in areas devastated by the natural disaster of 2013.

New Delhi, March 24

The Central government has approved a medium and long-term package for reconstruction works in areas devastated by the natural disaster of 2013. Specific relaxation in the existing guidelines of Centrally-Sponsored Schemes (CSS), Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Scheme, Flood Management Programme, Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Employment of Adolescent Girls and Indira Gandhi Matritva Yojana were applicable in all disaster affected areas in the state.

Various Union ministries earmarked outlays under the CSS of Rs 1,884.92 crore allocated during 2013, 2014-15 and 2015-16 within the overall budgetary allocation for the 12th Five Year Plan.

An amount of Rs. 50 crores allocated under the Central Sector Plan Scheme during 2014-15 and 2015-16 within its overall budgetary allocation for the 12th Five Year Plan for the establishment of an Environment Research and Training Centre at Dehradun. ANI
