Best of buddies

The little fellow with its tawny eyes travelled from Ahmadabad to Ludhiana with his new family members and pretty pleased with the change. Browny, the sweet little pug, was brought by Sanjeev and Parul Verma into the family fold as a companion to their son Shauriya Vardhan. The two have been the best buddies ever. As Parul quips jokingly, “We thought that this is an easier option to give a companion to him.”  

The popular advertisement that shows pugs as extremely interactive canines prompted Vermas to get this little fellow. 

Parul shares that Browny is totally her son’s and husband’s darling. He knows their arrival time in the house so well that he goes and sits at the gate at the due hour religiously. When Sanjeev is out of station it becomes a great deal for Parul to get him back into the house. Recently when they went for an overseas holiday they had to leave him at a boarding house. It was a huge emotional decision and the whole holiday was spent on worrying about him. 

Very very pampered Browny goes by no rules in the house and sits with the family on their sofas and beds. The only time he is on leash is when he goes for his walks where he loves to meet his other dogs. Browny is a typical Pedigree dog, he enjoys only that. As Parul says, “I have seen that pugs who eat home food become very obese so I stick only to dog food and mix it with chicken powder one time and then with egg the next time.”

As we were chatting Shauriya returned from school and the way buddies met was a scene to see and record. And of course the young man proudly declares, “He is my younger brother,” and one knows the importance of Browny in the family instantly!
