Mona
The Saturday Saturday singer Akriti Kakkar is enjoying her tight schedule, but she isn’t the one to give her fitness routine a miss. In fact, fitness is something very important for this girl, considering her busy schedule and frequent travels. The singer shares her fitness regimen.
Feel good
Overall fitness of mind and body plays a very important role in general. It is not about the pressure of looking a certain way, but feeling good about ourselves is important and that is where I think the whole fitness thing comes into play.
Right balance
I wake up around seven and have a litre of water before anything else. I then do my morning riyaaz before having breakfast. My breakfast has to be heavy, but healthy. Along with breakfast, I also have some green tea. Rest of my day is jam-packed with meetings and recordings. But in this routine too, I make it a point to carry some healthy munchies that keep me away from unhealthy stuff. Whenever in the day I get free, I make it a point to hit the gym. It may not be a full-fledged workout but a moderate one.
Core stuff
Crossfit helped me a lot. I have always had a problem with my lower back and Crossfit helped me strengthen my core body. This has made my lower back pain vanish. Crossfit also helps me maintain cardiovascular fitness.
Meal time
Lunch is sabji, roti and dal. I alternate between rice and roti; never both together. My dinner is light with salads and grilled or boiled vegetables or fish and chicken.
Cheat days
I actually don’t believe in cheat days.
Burn out
From sushi to butter chicken everything falls in favourites, provided you run and burn it out.
Parineeti rocks
I think Parineeti has impressed everyone with her recent transformation. I admire her will- power and determination. That is where she inspires me.
Sporty spirit
Eat well, eat anything but back it up with physical activities. We all munched a lot of unhealthy stuff during our childhood, but we backed it up with sports; like I played a lot of basketball and badminton.
