Panipat, February 25
Members of the AIJASS have claimed to have distributed more than 10,000 black ribbons in villages of the district ahead of the ‘black day’ tomorrow.
Their dharna entered its 28th day today at Ugrakheri village in the district. The dharna is being led by Pratap Dahiya, national secretary, AIJASS, Surender Malik, state secretary, and Surjeet Deshwal, district president.
Pratap Dahiya said samiti members have held a special campaign in the villages of the district and urged people to reach the dharna venue in huge numbers tomorrow, he added.
He claimed that more than 10,000 black ribbons have been distributed among people in villages. Besides, around 10,000 black ribbons would be distributed at Ugrakheri tomorrow, he said.
Deputy Commissioner Chander Shekhar Khare said security arrangements in the district had been enhanced and police and paramilitary personnel deployed on sensitive points. — TNS
