Ten ministers presented the progress reports of 22 departments under their jurisdiction in the state executive meeting.
Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar said the government had for the first time allocated a separate budget for panchayati raj institutions to empower them. More than 29 services were being made available to people through panches and sarpanches.
Health Minister Anil Vij claimed the government had initiated steps to curb corruption and bring about transparency. He said the gender ratio in the state had reached 950 for the first time due to sincere efforts put in by his department.
Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu claimed that the highest number of liquor shops in 150 villages had been closed on the requests of panchayats.
Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain said a target had been fixed to make all urban areas open defecation free by September 25.
Other ministers Manish Grover, Rao Narbir Singh and Karan Dev Kamboj also detailed the achievements of their departments.
