357 donate blood

A blood donation camp was organised at the Satsang Bhawan, Railway Road, where 357 devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission donated their blood. The day is celebrated to commemorate the anniversary of Baba Gurbachan Singh, who sacrificed his life for humanity and spiritual awakening in human’s life.

Renu Bala Gupta, Mayor, inaugurated the camp and appreciated the efforts of the mission for the uplift and welfare of the society. She exhorted the gathering to donate blood as it can save the life of accident victims, blood cancer patients, thalassemia patient and others.

Satish Hans, zonal in charge of Nirankari Mission, informed the Mayor about the activities being carried out by mission’s devotees, including plantation, blood donation camps, cleanliness drive, eye donation and medical camps. The mission has been contributing a lot in education sector also, he added.
