Chandigarh, June 21
Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said a Hindu could never be a terrorist and that there was no such thing as “Hindu terrorism”.
"A Hindu cannot be a terrorist. There cannot be a term such as ‘Hindu terrorism'. Hindu, by nature, can never be a terrorist. Had Hindus been terrorists, then no other terrorists can have existed,” Vij, a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, said.
Speaking about the 2007 Samjhauta Express blast case in which 68 people were killed, the BJP leader said it was worrying that two people arrested from Pakistan in connection with the case were released.
“This is a game played by the Congress party. I believe that these Pakistanis were released upon their instructions. They (the suspects) are roaming freely now,” he said. “Congress party wanted to create Hindu terrorism to counter cases where Muslim terrorists are involved.”
