Jind, October 1
Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Abhay Singh Chautala today slammed the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi behind surgical strikes carried out by the Army across the Line of Control (LoC).
Abhay, who was here to attend the party’s executive council meeting, said: “The credit for the surgical strikes only goes to the Army and not the Prime Minister.” Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala also accompanied the INLD leader.
Abhay said the party appreciated the Army’s strict response to Pakistan and congratulated Army chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag and his forces for accomplishing the task well.
Abhay said: “There was no role of Modi in the surgical strikes as it was the decision of the Army and the operation was also carried out by the Army and not the Prime Minister.”
Criticising the government for its anti-farmer policies, he said: “The INLD has decided to run a programme from the next week in which our leaders will create awareness among the public about anti-farmer policies of the BJP government.” — OC
