Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda has hit out at Leader of the Opposition Abhay Singh Chautala for making “illogical” statements about former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

“Abhay is suffering from Hooda-phobia,” Deepender told the media at Kosli on Monday. He was referring to Abhay’s statement that Bhupinder Hooda was trying to join the BJP. “Abhay and BJP leaders have been targeting my father for three years. My father is a mass leader and does not hesitate from raising matters related to public welfare.

A huge turnout at a “Jan kranti” rally in Samalkha had proved that people were fed up with the BJP government and want a change in the state, the MP said.

The Congress leader said time has come to evaluate the performance of the BJP government at the Centre and in the state. “The BJP government had promised to curb corruption, crime against women and inflation. But the party has failed to fulfil its promises,” Deepender added.
