Abhimanyu launches online registration of societies

Industries Minister Capt Abhimanyu today launched online registration and regulation of societies, registration of boilers and renewal and filing of annual return by MSMEs here.

He said the Haryana Government had sought public opinion and suggestions about its new industrial policy, so as to implement the most pro-active and progressive policy. The draft of the new industrial policy had been uploaded on the website of the Industries Department (www.haryanaindustries.gov.in), said the minister.

He said the draft of the industrial policy had been uploaded yesterday with the approval of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and it would remain on the website for a week to seek suggestions, if any, of the stakeholders. The new industrial policy would be formally launched after about two weeks, he said.

Describing the new policy as the most progressive policy in the country, Capt Abhimanyu said it was being tested on well-defined parameters and the government was trying to boost confidence of the investors in it.

In reply to a question of mediapersons, he said the new policy aimed at identifying industrially backward blocks where industrial units could be set up. It would also lay emphasis on skill development as per the changing scenario. As many as 17 departments of the state government were working on skill development, he said.

Referring to the online services launched today, he said that the workflow of all the services would be visible online. The initiative has been taken to maintain transparency and accountability in the larger interest of about two lakh stakeholders, who would be benefited with these services. These initiatives are part of the silent revolution taking place in the state, where the government is working with the motto from red tape to red carpet. He said the government, led by Manohar Lal Khattar, was taking steps to eliminate corruption and enhance efficiency.

Referring to the launch of the facility of registration of societies, he said there were about 94,000 societies and their details had been made online. Under the Haryana Registration and Regulation Act, 2012, various approvals such as name of the society, registration, permission for change of name, change of registered office and approval of scheme of collegiums had to be obtained and a registered society was required to file six mandatory annual returns with the district registrar concerned. At present, the applications have to go through the tedious process of manual registration of the societies in respective districts, where they propose to set up their societies.
