Admission to colleges against vacant seats

CHANDIGARH: The government has decided that fresh and leftover applicants may be allowed to be considered for admission to colleges in the state against sanctioned vacant seats only.

The government has decided that fresh and leftover applicants may be allowed to be considered for admission to colleges in the state against sanctioned vacant seats only. The online portal will remain open for new aspirants till tomorrow midnight.

An official spokesman said some seats were lying vacant in colleges even after the display of the waiting list. He added all government, government-aided and self-financing colleges would allow admissions to eligible candidates on merit.
