Award for sports stars; apply by June 30

The state government has invited by June 30 applications from sportspersons who have won medals in national and international competitions between April 1 last year and March 31 this year.

A Sports and Youth Affairs Department spokesman said cash prizes would be awarded to such sportspersons. Along with application form, applicants have to submit a proof of residence, a verified certificate of the sports achievement, birth and domicile certificates, an affidavit that he/she never tested positive for doping and a copy of PAN card. — TNS
