State BJP president Subhash Barala today said the fertiliser problem was because the previous Congress government did not leave the required reserve stock in the months of June-July last year. He claimed there was no shortage of fertiliser in the state at present.
Talking to mediapersons here, he said 11- member committees were being formed in every district to give suggestions to the government about development and welfare projects as well as to monitor implementation of government schemes and projects.
In a reply to a question over reports of illegal mining in Yamuna belt villages, Barala said steps were being taken to check it. Moreover, the government was contemplating a new mining policy keeping in view the interests of land owners.
Later, while addressing a meeting of party workers at Gohana, Barala said the party had launched a membership drive to enroll 50 new members by the end of March. “Around 7.50 lakh new members have been enrolled and the people are very interested and responsive in becoming BJP members,” he said.
