Centre approves two projects for state under RRTS

Bahadurgarh, June 24

The Central Government has approved two projects for Haryana under Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), which include connecting Delhi with Alwar via Gurugram and Manesar, besides connecting Delhi with Panipat via Sonipat.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said while interacting with mediapersons at Modern Industrial Estate (MIE) Metro station here.

“The state government has sent proposals to the Union Government for connecting Delhi with Palwal-Hodal under RRTS, besides laying metro lines from HUDA City Centre Gurugram to Manesar, also providing connectivity to railway station in Old Gurugram, from Bahadurgarh to Sampla, from Mujessar to Ballabhgarh (3.5 km stretch), Dwarka (Delhi) to Badhsa (Jhajjar) where an outreach OPD of AIIMS is running and a Heart Care as well as National Cancer Hospital is also coming up,” said the CM.

Khattar said the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Express Way was near to complete and Prime Minister Narender Modi would inaugurate it. A part of this E-way, from Palwal to Manesar, had already been made operational.

The Chief Minister also informed he had received number of proposals for naming the three metro stations, falling in the territory of Haryana on Mundka-Bahadurgarh Metro line. The proposals would be sent to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s office and the committee of Delhi Metro, constituted for the purpose, would take the final call in this respect.

On being asked about the claims of Congress that the present government is inaugurating the projects initiated during the Congress regime, Khattar replied governance was a continuous ongoing process and the works left incomplete by the earlier government are got completed by the succeeding government.

Responding to other question, the CM said all 22 lakh students of class 6th to 12th studying in private and government schools across the state would plant a sapling each during the next three months. In this way, 22 lakh saplings would be planted, which will improve greenery in the state. The government would provide incentive of Rs 50 to each of the students.
