Yamunanagar, April 23
The Haryana College Teachers Association (HCTA) has expressed resentment over the manner in which university examinations are being conducted.
Dr Shri Parkash, press secretary of the HCTA, said on Monday that Kurukshetra University had asked invigilators to affix the university stamp manually at the end of the answer book, where the examinee stopped writing.
He said that the university decision was wrong and the association has directed teachers to stop stamping answer books from April 23. “Teachers started boycott of stamping papers from Monday because it is cumbersome, tedious, wastage of time, and unnecessary burden on teachers on exam duty as it diverts their attention,” said Shri Parkash.
Dr SP Singh Sidhu, general secretary of the HCTA, said that a flying squad had not been constituted for the inspection of examination centres. “If the university does not take corrective measures, the association will hold a protest dharna,” he added.
