Committee to review service extension

CHANDIGARH: The state government has constituted a six-member officer’s committee to review cases of officers with the objective of providing them extension in service as decided by the Cabinet earlier.

The state government has constituted a six-member officer’s committee to review cases of officers with the objective of providing them extension in service as decided by the Cabinet earlier. The committee will be headed by Chief Secretary DS Dhesi as its Chairman.

The other members will be Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management, Administrative Secretary Finance Department, Administrative Secretary of the department concerned whose employee is seeking extension, head of the department concerned and Secretary General Administration.

The committee will examine the cases of officers whose re-employment is essential to deliver services to citizens and to meet the objectives of the department, the order signed by the Chief Secretary reads.
