Abhay fumes at 'nautanki', 'fixed match' comments

KAITHAL: Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Abhay Singh Chuatala, who was here today to mobilise party workers for the digging of the SYL canal, said he did not want to comment on the statement of a “fool” when he was asked for his views on Health Minister Anil Vij's statement that the role of the INLD and SAD on the SYL issue was like a “fixed match”.

Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Abhay Singh Chuatala, who was here today to mobilise party workers for the digging of the SYL canal, said he did not want to comment on the statement of a “fool” when he was asked for his views on Health Minister Anil Vij's statement that the role of the INLD and SAD on the SYL issue was like a “fixed match”.

He also reprimanded the reporter of a TV channel “for asking such irrelevant questions”. He was addressing a press conference here.

He said the BJP government was least concerned about the rights of the state and the Congress, which had been playing a double game, had been exposed for its stand on the SYL water issue. He said former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was calling their party’s efforts to dig the canal as ‘nautanki’. “But if Hooda has any concern for the Haryanavis, I invite him to join INLD workers and reach Ambala on February 23 to dig the canal,” he said.
